What can I expect when having a CBCT scan at Perio NW?
When having a CBCT scan at Perio NW, you can expect to remove any facial jewelry that may interfere with the imaging process. You will then be asked to sit or stand under the CBCT machine and rest your chin against the chin rest. Adjustments will be made so that you can rest comfortably. During the scan, you will need to remain still while the machine rotates completely around your head. The scan is completely painless and only takes about 20-40 seconds.
What happens after a CBCT scan?
After your CBCT scan, your periodontist will discuss their findings with you if necessary. They may also describe their treatment approach and answer any questions you have. After a CBCT scan, you will have no restrictions or special guidelines to follow and can immediately return to your normal routine.
